what's better than one egg?

I am not one to reminisce my love for things. Well, at least, I was not.
Lately, I feel a heightened sense of curiosity into the daily-life affairs, and the trivialities. And I have come to the temporary conclusion that these trivialities add a flavourful nuance to life. Though I wouldn't step down my pedestal of thoughtful labeling to call eggs trivial, it would be comical to not discuss eggs when we are talking about nuance. An egg is one of the most versatile ingredients that could do anything from adding a unique texture to sticking to your throat as you swallow. The latter being a hurdle to many while having an egg, it doesn't cause me much discomfort in enjoying one.
"But why are you saying this now?"
This cascade of thoughts started when I ordered a boiled egg in my college canteen. I was so pleased and gleeful as I was served an egg with a soft and delicate yellow yolk.

See, this canteen I eat at is not a place where I can specify the type of yolk I want. So, I find this similar to a lottery. There is also a joy, though a different kind, you get when you boil an egg to your liking. I find this similar to doing a job. If you would like to, think further about boiling an egg where you can't control the temperature of duration (as seen when boiled a kettle, a staple in hostels). Now, here one usually experiences joy or disappointment (which I notice to be more in intensity). The energy in this scenario reminds me of the phrases "fuck it, we ball", and "it's so over"
Anyways, the egg is cooked.
Now, that you have it on your plate, this makes it a good occasion to think about the nutrition that eggs provide to one's body and soul.

The jelly-like consistency of the white yolk paired with the mushy, fatty profile of the yellow yolk melting into each other in the juices of one's body. It is such an ecstatic experience. One that my tongue loves, unlike my throat. One that a hard-boiled egg doesn't give. But I have nothing against them. A good hard-boiled egg is a multi-faceted companion to many main course meals. You can choose to dig into it and then cleanse your mouth with the delicious meal one is having. I personally prefer to mix the yellow yolk with rice or biryani. The acidic yellow yolk and the bland rice make a good pair.
As I finished my egg and walked out of the sparsely crowded canteen, with the taste of a good egg still running in my mind, all I could think about was having another. But I wouldn't dare take another chance and ruin such a beautiful moment. Now I think about it, I feel that I should have. There is a high chance I would've gotten another egg from the same batch as it was still early and the demand for freshly boiled eggs doesn't start yet.
After few hours, while I was recalling this experience, I also thought a little about the manufacture of eggs (as a marketable product) but I'm saving that topic for another time.
See you, my kind reader on some other occasion.
