My Brother! My sister!

Red embers stay afloat
Dispersing when the wind blows
Oil will never run out
"Foreigners" we sneer and we look out
Lochness, vampire, troll, Raakshas
All personified- further intensified
Stretch out their hands as the threads hang
We feel only pain as the puppets dance

Inferno runs wild, the machine chugs
More and more fuel, we hear "Divide"
'Divide and Rule' is not in our policy
Whence it brewed from? And yet we police it
Onto our own. My brother! My sister!
We backstab our own. My brother! My sister!
"I would never do that to my own" I whisper to self
As I weep at the foot of the graves of my brother and sister.
